DownloadSorry. We do not ship puppies. We prefer to sell all of our babies local.
There's a lot more that goes into breeding than people think. It takes alot of money to properly maintain adults and keep puppies healthy. Not to mention the time involved. Sleepless nights waiting for puppies to arrive (Shih Tzu need assistance delivering puppies). Waking every couple hours to feed newborns that need extra assistance (typically my litter size is 2-3 puppies). Never getting to go on family vacations because someone needs to be with the dogs/puppies. Never leaving the home for more than a few hours at a time. It's a huge responsibility and you really need to have the love and passion to do it properly.
Here's a list of some of the expenses involved.
Breeding is not for the faint of heart. It is financially, emotionally and physically demanding. Why do I still choose to breed? Because I love the breed and enjoy seeing how happy I make families that get one of my babies!!!!
This is our nursery room....it's a room right off of our bedroom. This is where the puppies spend their first 3-4 weeks. It's kept at 80 degrees.
At 3-4 weeks old they are then moved into the open puppy pens where they start to learn to either use the litterbox or porry pads. As the puppies get older the pen gets bigger and bigger.
They have lots of room to run and plenty of toys to play with. They have access to dry food at all times and twice a day I make them their stew.....which consists of soaing dry food in hot water and some canned food. They have water bottles to drink from so they don't make a huge mess.
In our home the dogs have their own bedroom. It has two doggy doors that goes out into two exercise/potty yards. The adults sleep in here and are in here when we leave the house. Their is also my grooming area in there.
There is also a doggy door of the laundry room in our kitchen so they can go out a and go potty when we are home.
Sunbathing in the big yard.
